For a successful project, ICF walls must be straight, level and plumb. Alignment systems are used to align the forms before pouring concrete. They are also an indispensable tool for plumbing the walls immediately after the concrete has been poured. Additionally, bracing systems protect ICF walls from wind and other outside forces that could cause shifting before the concrete has fully cured. Atlantic Builders Supply offers two systems – the Nudura® Wall Alignment System and the Giraffe Insulated Concrete Form Bracing System.

The Nudura® Wall Alignment System is a multi-purpose set of components that ensures the forming system has support while also providing a safe working platform for installers during the insulated concrete form construction process. As with any scaffold system, safety must always be monitored on the project. The installer needs to be aware of and understand all safety codes and regulations for spacing, planking and safety rails.

Alignment System Design

The alignment system has been designed to support the weight of the workers, wind loads, and the weight of the insulated concrete form wall only. Should the alignment system be used for things other than insulated concrete from construction, it may result in failure and possibly bodily harm to the workers using the system.

Additional Giraffe ICF Bracing System features include:

Stamped (not welded) foot plates that allow for a second tall wall diagonal brace
Bracing components made with heavy-walled steel and painted with epoxy powder-coated paint (bright yellow for safety)
Straight-backs up to 10′ tall are manufactured from 14-gauge steel
Straight-backs up to 12′ tall are manufactured from 13-gauge steel
Folding platform brackets with a unique snap-open alignment mechanism
Optional straight-back coupler lock designed to support increased bracing height for tall wall set-ups
Self-locking gravity pins for simple assembly
